What is Cancer Care Coloring?

…it’s all about visualization. Mind-over-matter. Mind/body connection. The secret. Whatever you want to call it, for me it comes down to visualizing my white blood cells fighting and beating my cancer cells. These characters represent my fighters… my blood cell body squad… fighting and defeating my cancerous demon creatures.

I hope to bring my characters out into the world for others to draw, color, and enjoy. If anyone struggling with their own battle against cancer can gain any amount of joy, strength, or hope from them then all of my time and effort is time and effort well spent. Cancer Care Coloring pages/books/cards are coming!

About Me

I’m Alex Flansburg. I’m 52, an illustrator/art teacher, and live in Rochester New York. In August of 2018 I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. I’ve learned since beginning treatment that many cancer survivors understand the importance of physical  AND mental therapies working together to greatly increase our body’s healing power. This site, and all avenues of Cancer Care Coloring, are part of my mental therapy.
